Which of the 8 Sectors are you involved in and why did you choose that particular sector?

Mass Media – I have research experience in conducting Internet-delivered physical activity interventions and believe I can contribute to the overall brand and message that the National Plan conveys to the public.

What's most exciting to you about the U.S. having a National Physical Activity Plan?

The idea that this plan or social movement could play a role in healthcare reform by incorporating physical activity into the dialogue that occurs between physicians and patients.

What will success of the NPAP look like to you in 3 years, 5 years? 10 years?

I believe we need to have governmental buy in, a source of sustained funding for the plan, and a clear and recognizable message in 3 years. In 5-10 years, I think we need to be able to say that this plan resulted in increased levels of physical activity in those populations that need it the most and hopefully evidence to show that we are reducing health disparities.
